Laurie Sprague Designs is a boutique interior decorating and design firm that creates homes for happy living. Our mission is to create beautiful spaces while also providing you with a great experience. Whether you are renovating an older home or building new, we create spaces that are warm, inviting and specifically tailored to you. Together with our network of trusted trades and suppliers we delivery quality and value with attention to detail. Our imagination is inspired by the potential of a space so we pay particular attention to the architectural details and good bones. We design spaces that are contemporary, fresh and bright with clean lines. We incorporate moments of texture and colour to add warmth and coziness. We love fabric and are not afraid to mix colour and pattern; in fact we are experts at it. At Laurie Sprague Designs we love to decorate spaces with items that have personality and meaning, mixing old and new pieces to create beautiful, cohesive and cozy homes for you.

What We Do



 Two hours of our expertise to discuss any design or decorating dilemma you may have. From this working session you can expect to gain valuable information such as suggestions for furniture layouts, paint colours, window treatments, lighting improvements as well as guidance for renovation budgeting and planning. This time can also be used to kick start your project for which we can offer our full service experience. The cost of the consultation is $500 within the local service area, additional mileage to travel outside. This consultation is the first step in our process with every new client.


This experience is our most rewarding and comprehensive service and our own personal favorite. This is the process we use to bring all of your design dreams to life. Delivering to you a fully finished space that is better than you could ever have imagined. It all begins with a free discovery phone call to discuss your project, timeline and budget. Next we schedule a working consultation to discover your needs, wants and dreams for which we will provide solutions and compile your wish list. We will prepare a detailed proposal outlining the estimated costs and next steps. Then we move onto the exciting part, creating your custom design concept with detailed drawings, mood boards, custom furnishings, fabrics, window treatments and more. Everything is then beautifully presented to you in an organized and easy to understand way with all the associated costs in writing. Full service design packages are available for projects with a minimum overall budget of $25,000. The design fee is equivalent to 10 - 15% of the budget, which we will help you determine. This service consists of three phases, the consultation phase, the design & research phase and the implementation phase. It ends with a grand reveal of your beautiful, new space.

For those of you that don't require full service design but do need guidance beyond the initial consultation this is the perfect solution. Pre-purchase an allotment of consulting hours to use at your discretion as your project progresses. This service is great for clients who are more hands on and have time to do some of the leg work and sourcing themselves. It also works well for full home renovations and new builds when you need the expertise of a designer to help with selections and planning, working in co-operation with the general contractor. Examples of problems we can solve in working this way range from co-ordinating your finishes, providing a floor plan so you have confidence to purchase the perfect furniture for your home or helping you source the ideal chandelier for your dining room. This service also works well for those that have a sense of the aesthetic they want to achieve but need some reassurance before making any purchases that can result in costly mistakes. There is a minimum commitment of a 20 hour package. Blocks of time are paid in advance, must be used within a 6 month time frame and are non-refundable. We can provide you with an estimate of required hours for your project.
